  • Ginger – 3 pieces
  • Fennel seeds – 1 spoon
  • Cumin seeds – 1 spoon
  • Poppy seeds – ¼ tea spoon (optional)
  • Cinnamon – 1 piece (optional)
  • Asafoetida – a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
